Whether you are driving or using public transport, Egg is superbly connected. The S-Bahn station at “Langwies” is right opposite the “Am Hofnerbach” development, and is served every quarter of an hour by the Forchbahn light rail service connecting Egg directly to Zurich city within 28 minutes. The community of Egg itself lies immediately along the Forchstrasse connecting the city of Zurich with Hinwil, also serving as the motorway link to the A3 in the direction of Zurich and Chur. The centres of Zurich and Rapperswil are reachable within a car journey of 20 minutes, with Uster just a quarter of an hour away. Apart from that, you can be in Meilen in a drive of 10 minutes, from where there is a car-ferry service every ten minutes conveying you to Horgen on the left bank of Lake Zurich.
